CONCEPT
Medical expertise, storytelling, and design principles were combined in this Public Service Announcement to highlight the importance of correcting convergent strabismus, a common condition that affects approximately 3% to 6% of children and up to 4% of adults.
The piece is built around a real testimony narrated by the doctor herself, who describes the before and after of the surgery, as well as the visual and learning difficulties patients may face if this condition is not treated in time.
STYLE FRAMES
CREATIVE PROCESS
The artistic style is primarily influenced by the doctor’s logo, whose visual language is childlike and friendly, as her focus is mainly on premature children. Drawing from this reference, geometric shapes come to life and appear throughout the sequence, accompanying the child as the animation unfolds.
Bright colors and a series of strokes that interact with the composition reinforce this approachable and accessible style, while also adding dynamism to the piece and keeping it in constant motion.

- Liam Santiago is 9 months old. (Pause)
- He came to my office because he suffers from convergent strabismus, also known as congenital esotropia, a condition that causes one of his eyes to turn inward and makes him see double.
- If this is not treated in time, patients like Liam may develop problems in their future visual learning.
[PROCESS]
- After a complete ophthalmological evaluation, Liam was taken to surgery to correct his eye deviation and help his eyes regain their balance.
[CONCLUSION AND INVITATION]
- Six months later, Liam’s eyes are aligned, and he continues to improve satisfactorily in his adaptation process and quality of life.
- This condition is ideally corrected during the first 7 years of life. However, if you are an adolescent or adult and also suffer from it, you can contact me and place your case in expert hands.
